Wise Words!

I got to thinking about that warning label on the dressings aisle yesterday and I did some investigating on the web. Apparantly the balsamic vinegar is stored in containers that have lead. How much lead is anyone's guess. If you think about it everything can be dangerous whether you show up for work at Seaworld and drown or are hit by a car. Let's face it no one gets out of here alive. Are we going to worry about every little thing that can kill us or are we going to spend every minute on this earth having a wonderful time? I would rather be having a good time!

I went to the grocery store to buy some salad dressing today. When I got to the shelf that carries the brand I buy there was a large WARNING sign in front of the dressings. I did not have my reading glasses with me but after 5 minutes of squinting at the sign I figured out the warning was about the dressings containing balsamic vinegar, apparantly they can cause birth defects. If that's true why are they selling these dressings? A warning sign really doesn't cut it in my book.
Lucky for me my dressing is Tuscany Italian and so far no problems. (I'm rolling my eyes)

Then I was in the check out line and I was looking at the magazines. The headline on one of the fashion mags read that pretty is back! I didn't know it was out of fashion? What was in before? Ugly??? I mean really - who writes this stuff? What I would love to see is the headline to read Skinny out! Shapely in! Go ahead eat that sandwich!

You never know who you will "fly" into on Twitter!

I am pretty new to this Twitter stuff. I only found out about it last year when Iran was clobbering it's citizens (again!) It was a way to find out what was happening there. Then... after awhile...I turned my focus on the move down south. When I think back on that whole thing #1 I am really proud of myself for taking myself out of my comfort zone and just going for it #2 Not panicking about being out of my comfort zone.

Lately, when I am not looking for work, I am cruising the internet (I know the correct term is surfing, but I prefer to cruise) I got back into Twitter on a more regular basis. I was linking some Abraham-Hicks videos to Twitter and suddenly I started meeting like-minded people. Who knew? Anyways there was one particular tweeter that contacted me and I just had to tweet back. It was the crown on her head that got my attention! If I had my way I would wear a crown everywhere. Why? Just because I think they are friggin fabulous! And really does a girl really need a reason to wear a crown? I pretty much feel the same way about wearing anything leapord... faux of course, silly! Well, I did not hear back about that vegan restaurant job. Do you think he could smell the chicken I had for lunch on my breath? I'm guessing that had to be it. Oh, well... next!

I went to Costa Mesa today to apply at Native Foods Cafe. It is a vegan restaurant located in a very "hip" mall that is unlike any mall I have ever been to. I'm sure if the owners knew I called it a mall they would be insulted. I got excited as soon as I arrived. The energy there was great! I am so not mainstream and I definitely realize it when I am around places like this, although it is ususally one shop among a zillion mainstream ones, not a string of like minded shops. I was able to get an interview right away which is great... it is a drag to fill out an application and have to keep coming back to check on it. Of course I was the oldest one again. I feel just as "hip" as the younger people who are also applying for a job. Can't they see how hip and young at heart I am? Well, maybe I don't look so hip when I first get out of bed but after a few stretches and coffee, I can run with the big dogs... ok... maybe fast walking.

Bought a birthday gift for Anna in here. They share retail space with Patagonia. I haven't seen one of those stores since I left S.F.

I would never thought to use a restored travel trailer as a shop. The plant shop was closed today. Darn it! I would have loved to snoop around that old Silverstream.

Owning my own motor home is definitely on my bucket list!
